Raymond Louis Ruff
Raymond Louis Ruff, age 74, of Erie, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 15, 2024 after his courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Erie on August 7, 1950, son of the late Ed and Helen Ruff.
Ray worked for Steris and American Sterilizer for over 30 years. He loved bowling and bowled on several leagues. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV and was a lifelong fan of the LA Rams.
In addition to Ray's brother and sisters, Sally would like to give a special thanks to her daughter-in-law, Erika Rutkowski, her grandchildren, Adam and Abby, her sister, Peggy O'Brien and her niece, Sara, for all the wonderful support given to her during this journey with Ray.
Ray is survived by his wife, Sally Marie Ruff; daughter, Jennifer; brother, James Ruff; two sisters, Gail Cilladi (Lou) and Lynette Vannuci; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by five sisters, Karen, Jan, Bonnie, Jennifer and Barbara; and one brother, Ed Jr.
At the family's request, private arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., with a service to be held at a later date.
